Forest magic entangles all who abuse it. A story by Callipygian.
Dandelion seeds and tree blossom danced under the trees in the golden light while Lilith watched. She loved this time of day when the breeze smelled of mellow perfume and musk-lemon trees. The angled light of the sunbeams, visible as tangible lances under the forest canopy, reminded her of the ancient cathedrals of man.
Her mother would have scolded her for any thoughts of man, or their kind. Scolded and perhaps spanked her too. She shuddered at recent memories. Her last adventure had so gone awry that her mother had spanked her bared bottom while sitting on the lower bow outside her house. Her pert round behind polished to a glowing red under the gaze of any passer-by; and she an independent female of her clan; well almost.
It had got worse, well obviously. Lilith blushed with shame, disturbed by the turn of thought when she should be reading the forest magic. She sighed, there was nothing for it now, she would have to rewind the story in her mind or the magic would take her and lead her back to… stupid girl, do not follow a thought within a thought.
Yes, it had got worse… she had been made to stand next to the lintel of the house, nose bound by spell to the door frame while her exposed behind shone red at any passer-by. Her face had glowed more, but most eyes saw only her bottom.
There had been mockery and laughter, and everyone would talk.
Her mother had said, “You will remain there until the moonlight releases you…” this at eleven of the clock in the morning; all day with her bare bottom announcing that her claims of independence were a lie. A lie, incidentally, that at her mother’s bidding she had been sent her to the mongers straight after to purchase a hairbrush; all this with her behind left exposed by another spell to compel her.
“For why do you wish to buy such an item so late?” the monger had asked.
Under a glamour Lilith could not lie and although it cost her she said, “My mother wishes to spank me again and quite soundly too if I am a judge.” Her voice had been kept low and matter-of-fact.
“Pardon, what was that?” the monger had asked.
All eyes turned and silence fell until anyone who was not a fool could see from her crimson visage that she was going to be spanked.
“My mother sent me to buy a hairbrush for my spanking,” Lilith had said clearly and as unconcerned as she could manage.
“Then you are no independent female,” the monger suggested.
“It would appear not,” Lilith admitted and then it had sunk in and she might have cried. As she did later when over mother’s knee.
“Young woman,” a comely dame announced indignantly, “I have been an independent female for decades now and my mother does not hesitate to spank me soundly when the need arises.”
Purchase in hand Lilith ran home and surrender her trophy to mother. Then shortly afterwards her bottom too. Vigorous applications to her bare bottom with a hairbrush had set her singing her mother’s virtues and begging just for the privilege of apologising. All washed down with copious tears and the certainty that not a soul in the village had not heard.
Lilith had not been able to sit down for a month; a glamour no doubt, but it had set her quest for independence back a year or two.
Now story relived, she turned back to the forest magic, the beauty of the trees enthralling her.
The tree god stepped into view and regarded her with bemused disdain. ”What do you seek here?” his melodious baritone tingled on her skin.
“I need a binding,” she said.
“Indeed, a strong request for a forest child,” the god drew nearer.
“I am not a child, I am independent,” she lied.
“And yet no torc or arm ring,” the god observed.
Lilith shrugged.
The god smiled as if he knew the world and all in it; an impossibility if you know the world, but gods trade in lies of omniscience and they knew a liar too when they saw her.
“Go to the silver glade and call upon Thorn to awake,” the god’s baritone sounded wise and certain, “call him three times and if he comes tell him this…”
Lilith leaned forward her breath held lest she miss the wisdom.
“…the man of the forest is no man, the one who seeks is no true woman, and this prize goes for the pride that is fallen.”
Lilith muttered the words under breath and committed them to memory. “And what if he doesn’t come?” she asked.
“Then think yourself blessed and ran home to mother.”
Lilith rehearsed the words again and then remembered she had no told the god what she wanted binding. The trees danced slowly with a hush, but no god was there to see it.
“Nor do I know how to find the silver glade,” she said aloud.
But the singing trees seem to sing and the light dance of the branches seemed to point and even before she had made up her mind she had walked into an opening in the forest dappled by silver light. There in the middle was the fallen tree trunk of a once mighty oak.
“This my dear Lilith, is too easy,” she said, again aloud, “I bet there is no one called Thorn here.”
She considered going and all at once knew that is what she should do.
“Are you looking for me?” the stranger said, another who could arrive unseen.
The man, if indeed he was a man, was large, built like two warriors and as high as a winter holly. Her face barely reached his belly. “Possibly not,” Lilith said in answer to his question.
“I am Thorn,” he growled, “And you woke me.”
“I am Lilith and…” witty comebacks deserted her and the need for one had left before it had arrived.
Thorn regarded her with interest as he waited.
“Um… can I say…” she recalled well the phrases but knew that spoken words had power. Then taking her life in her hands she intoned, “The man of the forest is no man, the one who seeks is no true woman, and this prize goes for the pride that is fallen,” as she spoke the forest fell silent and Lilith skin tingled.
Thorn cocked his great head and studied the girl in bemusement. “Do you stand by those words?” he said.
“Yes,” Lilith said, no, she thought. But words said have more weight than thoughts.
“Do you know what they mean?”
“Yes,” she lied, not wishing to appear foolish.
Thorn took a stride and gathered Lilith up and carried her to the fallen oak. Whereupon he sat down and draped her face down across his lap. Her gown and all that lie beneath were stripped in a trice and she found herself naked with her bare bottom in easy reach of his large hand.
Lilith closed her eyes in disbelief, it could only happen to her. “Is this part of the binding?” she ventured.
“Oh yes,” Thorn growled, his hands possessing the curves of her bottom. “I am the man of the forest, and you say I am no man… a challenge accepted; you are the seeker who is not a woman… and so unclaimed; and you are the prize given along with you surrendered pride.”
“I haven’t actually surrender…” Lilith began, his hand struck her bare bottom sharply, superseding mother’s hairbrush, “…erred,” she shrieked.
His great hand, like a paddle, swept up and under then across and down and back again as quickly as Lilith could breath. Each contact had the touch of fire and each painted her naked flesh ever more crimson. This a cycle of pain and humiliation that looked set to grow to eons.
“Please, oh please, oh please, oh please,” she wailed, kicking her heels and trying not to cry.
“That is your surrendered pride talking and I both accept and claim you,” Thorn told her.
Lilith lay panting and helpless across his lap wondering if she could contest his interpretation and decided she couldn’t.
The spanking resumed and Lilith growled angrily. “I surrendered,” she screeched, “Please.”
“You did, now you are mine and I have decided to spank you for an hour or two,” Thorn said cheerfully.
“Not fair, not fair,” Lilith wailed but soon she was bawling incoherently and did so for quite some time.
Later on her knees he made her say thank you, a bitter sweet sauce that flooded her throat and made her gobble it down for several minutes. She could still taste him as she licked the sauce from her lips. There was much too spilled on the ground and she resisted an urge to lap it up.
“I think we will save your traditional maidenhead until after I secure you some child-bane,” Thorn told her, “I prefer the narrow gate in any case.”
Lilith was dizzy with lust, no doubt a glamour, she thought ruefully, but no amount of lust could entice her to welcome a man with a horn extending to a cubit long and more girth than her fingers could accommodate. The helmet cresting his manhood was the size of a small apple, she noted with fascinated horror.
“My mother is Lilia Spellbringer,” Lilith hastily announced, “And she claims me.”
Thorn frowned and folded his arms, “Indeed, that complicates things.” Then he turned and walked away.
“Where are you going? I mean you can’t give up that easily.”
“Run along home, I will call upon your mother in time.”
*
Lilith had no memory of how she got home. However, she remembered well why she could not sit down. Also of how she had all but swallowed an apple in one go and gobbled down its sauce. How could she tell mother?
Lilia knew as soon as she set eyes on her daughter, “I can smell him on you,” she said, “How soon will he come?”
He already has, Lilith supressed the thought, “I-I don’t really know that he is,” she said.
“You are in so much trouble,” her mother sighed.
“I know,” Lilith bowed her head, “Shall I go to the mongers or will you make do with the one I bought a few weeks ago?”
“Ha,” her mother shook her head, “You are going to look fondly on that hairbrush over the next few years.”
“Is there no way out of it?”
“Do you want out of it?” her mother asked.
“He spanked me and…”
“Oh I am going to spank you once your bottom is a little less russet,” Lilia assured her, “But that’s not what I asked.”
“Am I honour bound…?”
“Forest bound,” her mother shrugged.
“Oh,” Lilith somehow knew her days of pranks were over.
“It happens to us all, why when I was your age I too was bound to a forest giant, I couldn’t sit down for weeks at a time. Those years did me the world of good. I learned a lot.”
Lilith gaped, not sure what shocked her most. “You…?”
Lilia nodded and smiled dreamily. The story would be retold in her dreams that night.
“Years?” her daughter gasped.
“I am afraid so,” Lilia smiled fondly.
“Oh shoot,” Lilith say down on the nearest stool and shot back to her feet again at once.
“I wish I could tell you, you get used to that,” Lilia chuckled, “You don’t, any more than you get used to the other thing.”
“The other thing?” Lilith blushed, already guessing.
“Let’s just say your bum will learn to be quite accommodating.”
“Mother,” Lilith gasped.
“Daughter,” Lilia countered, “And I thought you were a woman.”
Lilith blushed.
“Don’t worry, when you next visit you and I can trade war stories,” Lilia Spellbringer winked.
